Brad Pitt has revealed that he is on the “final leg” of his extensive acting career.
The 58-year-old Hollywood star made the comment for a popular men’s magazine, along with details of his “lonely” life following his divorce from Angelina Jolie, 47.

Pitt, who started acting in 1987, says he is now thinking carefully about future projects and what his life will bring in the future.
The actor, who has noticeably stepped back from his starring status in recent years, says he considers himself “on the last leg” of his career.
“This last semester or trimester. What will this part be? And how do I want to shape that?” he told GQ Magazine†
“I am one of those creatures who speaks through art. I just always want to make. If I’m not making money, I’m going to die somehow.”
Pitt’s director for Once upon a time in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino says that when the Oscar-winning actor retires, Hollywood will lose “one of the last remaining movie stars on the big screen”.
“It’s just a different kind of people. And honestly, I don’t think you can describe exactly what that is, because it’s like describing starlight,” Tarantino told the publication.
The actor now seems to be spending more time behind the camera with his production company Plan B entertainment who has produced films including: 12 Years a Slave, Eat Play Love and world war z.
Since the interview, fans have reacted to the “devastating” news of Pitt’s career bomb.
“I’ll die a little inside when Brad Pitt retires,” one fan tweeted.
“We will miss you terribly, but we/I want you to be happy,” said another.
“Devastating, can’t be true,” said one comment.
Some of Pitt’s most famous films include: Fight Club, Oceans Eleven and Mr and Mrs Smith – the movie in which he met his ex-wife Jolie.
‘Hearts are broken’
Pitt and Jolie married in 2014, 10 years after meeting on set, and have six children together.
They divorced and were declared legally single in 2019.
Pitt said of this time, “I think all our hearts are broken”.
He went on to say that loneliness is a constant theme in his life.
“I’ve always felt very alone in my life, only growing up as a kid, only here in fact, and it’s really not until recently that I’ve had a bigger hug from my friends and family,” Pitt said.
The father of six said he put his health first after his divorce by quitting smoking and going to Alcoholics Anonymous.
Pitt said he quit smoking completely during COVID-19, admitting that his personality doesn’t allow for moderation.
“I don’t have the ability to do just one or two a day,” he told the outlet.
“It’s not in my makeup. I’m all inclusive. And I’m going to drive into the ground. I have lost my privileges,” he told the publication.
